UNC119B

UNC119B (UNC-119 Homolog B) is a gene involved in the transport of proteins to cilia—specialised cellular structures essential for signalling and sensory functions. It plays a key role in the development and maintenance of photoreceptor cells in the retina. Disruption of UNC119B function can impair ciliary activity and may contribute to retinal disorders and vision loss.
