GLRB

GLRB (Glycine Receptor Beta Subunit): GLRB is a gene that encodes a component of the glycine receptor, a chloride channel essential for inhibitory neurotransmission in the spinal cord and brainstem. This receptor plays a key role in regulating motor and sensory functions, and mutations in GLRB can lead to neurological conditions such as hyperekplexia, characterised by an exaggerated startle reflex.
